Wedding Week Schedule
We feel so lucky to spend a few days with all the people we love in a place we love so much, so here are some more details for what’s happening when!
Join us on board the Harbour Queen as we start the week with a “sangeet”: a traditional Indian pre-wedding celebration that is simply lots of dancing & music! Please arrive by 6:45 at the latest.
The weather on the boat can be a bit chillier than on land, so be sure to wear a few layers. There is no designated parking for the dock, but there are many paid-parking lots throughout downtown as well as street parking.
Dress Code: Everyone is encouraged to wear traditional Indian clothing! Inspo here!
Welcome Sangeet
Sunday, September 13th, 2026 @ 7:00 PM
Getting there
1751 Lower Water Street, Halifax, NS
Parking: While there are options to park nearby, we recommend walking if your accommodations are close by. The boat docks right on the waterfront so easy to get to on foot!
Look for: The boat docks right in between the Downtown Halifax Ferry Terminal and a Cow’s Ice Cream. We will be there to greet you!
A morning in Halifax, an evening in the South Shore
Monday, September 14th, 2026
We encourage you to travel to the South Shore on the 14th to mitigate any travel delays on the day of the wedding.
We recommend exploring Halifax in the morning before heading south! Check out our recommendations page to see our favourite places and activities located within walking distance of downtown Halifax.
Depending on where you’re staying in the South Shore, the drive from Halifax to your accommodations may be between 1 hr - 1 hr 30 min. We recommend taking the slightly longer coastal route! It’s well worth the beautiful scenery along the way, like Peggy’s Cove & Mahone Bay.
Getting there
Lunenburg, NS
Luneneburg is a UNESCO world Heritage site, located 5 minutes from the wedding venue. We strongly recommend searching for accommodations directly in Lunenburg.
Getting There: There are a couple primary routes from Halifax to Lunenburg. We recommend the coastal route!
Options: If there is enough interest, we will arrange group transport to Lunenburg. Leave us a note when finalizing your details here if this is something you’re interested in! Other options include…
Rent-a-car
